On The Side Of Angels
Important Information for couples planning to be married in Ohio. All Ohio residents must apply for a marriage license in the county in which you reside. You do not need to be married in that county. However, for those living out of Ohio, you must apply in the county where you are to be married.
Franklin county ( Columbus, Ohio)
The Marriage license bureau is located at 373 S. High Street, 23rd Floor, Columbus, Oh. Their phone number is 614-525-3898. Hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. No blood test is necessary to obtain a marriage in Ohio. No witnesses are required in Ohio. After you are married you may apply for a certified abstract of marriage.
Further Ohio marriage and county information:
After you are married
1. Get proof
Arm yourself with a certified marriage license -- be sure it has a raised seal, which means it's authentic. Call the office where your license was filed to get copies if they aren't automatically sent to you.
2. Set Social Security Straight
Contact the Social Security Administration at (800) 772-1213; an automated system will talk you through the name change process. Your new card will be free -- if you're contacted by a company that claims to do this for a fee, don't buy it. These companies have nothing to do with the SSA and should be reported to authorities.
3. Motor on Down to the DMV
Visit the Department of Motor Vehicles, which requires you to make a personal appearance (read: wait in line). Bring a book to read and every form of identification you can lay your hands on. No matter what, do not forget your certified marriage license.
4. Fill in the Blanks
Once you have a social security card and driver's license in your married name, other changes should be fairly easy. Some institutions only require a phone call; others may ask for a copy of your marriage certificate or social security card. Be sure to notify:
Friends and family
Phone company and other utilities
Banks and other financial institutions
Credit card companies
Schools and alumni associations
And don't forget to get your new name on these documents as well:
Passport (Do not do this before the wedding -- your passport name must match the name on your ticket and all other travel documents! It's easier to take your honeymoon with your maiden name.)
Mortgages and leases

Inspirational Ideas to ponder while preparing for your wedding:
Excellence Inspiration is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
The stupid neither forgive nor forget The naive forgive and forget The wise forgive but do not forget
"I gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which I must stop and look fear in the face......I say to myself, I've lived through this and can take the next thing that comes along..... we must do the things we cannot do."
Progress cannot happen without change and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything?
"The weak can never forgive which is the attribute of the strong. Would you want to die with anger still in your heart."
"be the change you want to see in the world"
Why not be polite
Is god speaking.
Why not be polite and
Listen to Him?
Strangers are friends you haven't met yet.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable it is, nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open....No artist is pleased... ( there is no) satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, a blessesd unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others....?
-Matha Graham to Agnes de Mille, Martha: The life and work of Martha Graham
I saw an angel in the stone and carved to set it free. Michaelangelo
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light , not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn?t serve the world. There?s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won?t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us... it?s not just in some of us; it?s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.?
-1994 Inaugural Speech Nelson Mandela
"Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier."

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We hope you have a lifetime of peace, love and happiness.
As Ohio licensed wedding officiants, either of us would be honored to be considered to officiate your wedding. We love being officiants and people know it immediately when they meet us. Amy has also been an interior designer for 25 years. She can often offer excellent suggestions to make your wedding vibrant and exciting. Amy and I work together on all ceremonies to give each one a male and female perspective. If desired, we can also serve as dual officiants. Usually, though, the choice is for just one officiant.
We are available for all types of weddings whether it is a Christian, Secular, "Green," Buddhist, Inter-faith, Multicultural, Non-denominational, Spiritual, Elopement, Vow Renewal, Commitment, or a specially designed ceremony. We also can provide officiants who speak Spanish, German or French.
Some people immediately want to know our prices. We cannot in fairness charge the same for a one hour wedding 100 miles away as we do for a quick ceremony at our location. The cost depends on distance and what you desire in your wedding.
We usually meet a couple at a public place convenient to all in order to determine exactly what is wanted and if there is a meeting of minds. After assembling your information, we spend a great amount of time brainstorming to create a dream ceremony specifically designed for you.
We are flexible, open, willing to listen and honestly happy to provide you with a dream wedding.
For those couples needing a wedding venue, chapel or other services (such a photography, videography, catering, live music or DJ), we can help. We use our own park or indoor setting and work with many vendors to provide the ideal location for any size wedding. Ask us about our packages for your size wedding. We love weddings of all sizes big or small.
Are you in a hurry? We, also, are available for those planning to elope or couples interested in tying the knot quickly.
Did you know that many people desire to be married on numbers in sequence such as 12/12/12 or 10/11/12? Call us and we will tell you more interesting facts about weddings.
Regardless of your choice of officiant, we sincerely hope you have a wonderful wedding and happy married life.
